Visual impairment is a fact of life for many thousands of people in the UK. We’re campaigning alongside them for the rights that most sighted people take for granted.

"Being a campaigner for Guide Dogs Campaigns is a truly phenomenal experience. It means that I am able to use my voice effectively and my experiences of growing up with a visual impairment to make a change that will have a positive impact on the lives of those with sight loss. Living with a visual impairment is not the end of the world and as a campaigner for Guide Dogs I hope I can make those who are still learning to cope with sight loss see that."

Access All Areas

75% of assistance dog owners surveyed have been refused access to a restaurant, shop or taxi in the last 6 months.

Help us campaign to make sure that blind and partially sighted people don’t face refusals.

Streets Ahead

Obstacles such as pavement parked cars, street clutter, and some street designs can cause potentially dangerous problems for many people who are blind or partially sighted on a daily basis.

Help us campaign to make the UK’s streets accessible for everyone.

Talking Buses

7 out of 10 bus passengers with sight loss have missed their stop because a driver forgot to tell them when to alight.

Help us campaign for all buses to provide audio visual next and final stop announcements on board to enable passengers to travel independently, with confidence.

Safe and Sound

Some hybrid and electric vehicles are so quiet that pedestrians may only hear them when they are just one second from impact.

Help us campaign to make these vehicles safer for pedestrians who are blind or partially sighted.

Dog Attacks

We have been concerned about dog attacks on guide dogs as the numbers of reported attacks has been rising year on year.

Find out about the successes of this campaign so far and what we are currently doing to ensure this issue is tackled across the UK.
